ACADEMIC PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
Title : Modeling of Energy Distribution of Blast Holes during Blasting using JK Simblast Software
Organisation : VNIT Nagpur (Final Year Project)
Overview : The project was to authenticate the fact the changes in energy distribution in a blast affect fragmentation of rock and other blast results, hence a study has been undertaken to use JK Simblast software for deriving optimum blast design and to optimize the total blasting system.
Key Learning : Studied JK - SIMBLAST software, Blasting inputs and outputs, theory of energy distribution in rock.
Role : The project was executed with:
„¯ Two blast cases were studied and compared for energy distribution having two different blast designs and having two different explosives used.
„¯ The explosive energy distribution was simulated using ¡¦JKSimblast¡¦.
„¯ The results indicated that with a change in the blast conditions, there was a change in the explosive energy distributions.
